« My husband had to be admitted at Bethsada’s emergency last May when he experienced excruciating pain, fever and nausea caused by a stone lodged between the kidneys and the bladder. We decided to consult when the fever started and I phoned your Florida office. What a relief it was for us to be served by someone really knowledgeable who spoke an impeccable French and asked us the right questions so she could properly direct us. Her name is Valérie and I would appreciate it if you could give her this email and thank her on our behalf. Our experience with Bethesda was extraordinary; the way we were dealt with at emergency, the triage, the tests, the hospitalisation, including the nurses, the emergency specialists, the resident MD, the urologist and the anesthesiologist, everything was impeccable. After a two day stay, my husband came home with the treating physicians’ phone numbers and five days later, he visited the urologist who performed the operation to have the shunt removed. The adventure was over and we could return home to Quebec. Then came the claim!!! (since we had to pay the costs for the urologist and the medication) Again everything was extraordinary from beginning to end and the settlement was quickly finalised, despite the Postal Services strike. If I had to provide advice to other travellers, it would be to keep all supporting documents and to carefully read all of the insurance company’s instructions pertaining to claims. When you provide all required documents, no problem should occur. I received no nasty phone call or letter, only a cheque covering all of the incurred expenses, along with a lovely letter and a copy of the paid bill. We are highly satisfied with Tour+Med travel insurance and as we have done in the past, we will not hesitate to recommend it to our family and our friends and family. »

« This letter is to thank you very much for your assistance this past February when my husband had his unexpected heart problem. We were treated with nothing but considerate and helpful information. They phoned when there was a change in plans for transfer and to make sure that I was OK. The Lear Jet staff from Hamilton were extremely efficient and pleasant. We had, at first, felt that the heart catheterization and any work should be done in Florida. Your company assured us that my husband was stable and the doctor and nurse that came from Hamilton for the transfer reinforced that opinion. In hindsight, we are thankful to have had bypass work done here. My husband now has a very good stress test and is doing cardiac rehab exercises at a centre run by the hospital. He is feeling much better than he did even when we went to Florida last year. We are looking forward to needing out of country insurance this coming winter for time in the sunny south again. « My husband has asked me to send this letter on his behalf. He was very pleased with the support from Tour+Med. He was admitted to the hospital quickly once he had seen the Doctor. However, once admitted, the staff did nothing for him for 5 hours although he was in great pain. I was with him and 3 times went to the desk asking for pain medication for him. Nothing was done until I phoned Tour+Med. Tour+Med’s Rep asked witch hospital he was in and said they would be in touch with St. Pete’s general. Within 5 minutes the nurses were hooking him up to pain meds, an IV and scheduling him for tests. Coincidence? Maybe, but I don’t think so. My husband did not have an opportunity to speak with your wonderful staff. They always expressed concern for Ken and when I was especially tired or discouraged they expressed concern for me..
